Youth Development

 

Youth Development offers a variety of programs for early childhood, youth and teens. These programs include categories of education, hobbies & special interest, and health & fitness. A few examples of these quality programs are creative dance, summer camps, and art camps. Please visit it here for a complete list of available programs! 

What We Do

Summer Camp

Summer Day Camp registration for both KIA and Mahalo open Monday, February 21, at 8:00am.

 

Camp KIA (Kids In Action)

Let your kids experience the active, carefree, safe, and supportive summer experience every child desires. Camp KIA (Kids In Action) is designed for kids who are seeking a well-rounded camp experience. We offer a safe supportive environment where campers feel comfortable trying new activities and building new skills! Camp KIA is designed for children that are entering 1st grade – 5th grade. Each camp session will include one field trip scheduled on Wednesdays. Each camper should bring a sack lunch and two snacks each day to camp. This program is not licensed by the state; however, it does follow Standards of Care. Camp operates from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. *No camp will be held on July 4th.

Camp Mahalo

In Camp Mahalo, participants will develop skills that last a lifetime, build confidence in their own abilities, and enhance their motivation to make things happen. Participants will also have fun socializing with peers while learning how to be a better leader! Camp Mahalo is designed for children that are entering 6th grade – 9th grade. Each camp session will include a field trip scheduled on Thursdays. Each camper should bring a sack lunch and two snacks each day to camp. This program is not licensed by the state; however, it does follow Standards of Care. Camp operates from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. *No camp will be held on July 4th.

Pearland Early Learners

Description: Children who participate in high-quality early learning experiences are better prepared for success in kindergarten and beyond. Children will learn the basics of writing, math, science, reading experiences and nature adventures. Register for Early Learners.


Creative Dance

Bring your little dancers for 30 minutes of creative and fun dance. They’ll learn beginning moves and have a great time. Girls should wear a black leotard, pink tights and pink ballet slippers. Boys, please wear black shorts and a white t-shirt. Register for Creative Dance.


Ballet/Tap

 

Students will get an introduction to the basics of ballet and tap combined into one class! Students will learn body alignment and control while building self-confidence and toning muscles. Girls should wear a black leotard, pink tights, and pink ballet slippers. Boys, please wear black shorts and a white-tshirt. Register for Ballet/Tap.
